Improving security, efficiency and transparency in container handling.

Certified Pick up - Update 2021/04

Certified Pick up - Update

Certified Pick up has been in use at the port of Antwerp since January 2021. The first phase focussed on creating transparancy in the supply chain regarding the actual status of incoming containercargo. Together with the port community we are taking the next steps in order to create a safe, transparent and efficient release process.
Certified Pick up & Secure Container Release

Certified Pick up & Secure Container Release

Both T-mining and NxtPort offer the possibility of digital handling of the container release through both their applications, Secure Container Release (SCR) and Certified Pick up (CPu), where the former is connected to the latter.
Although the choice of platform application lies in the hands of the Shipping Lines/Agents (depending on which platform their commercial releases are hosted), CPu will always act as the central backbone, regulating the final pickup at the terminal.
Given the market situation a connection with both platforms is thus required.

Pilot Project: Identity based pick up

In order to keep the port 100% operational at all time we will conduct a pilot project to test the identity based pick up via CPu before the start of the summer. During this pilot phase the pick up of a container with a pincode will still be in place.
More details regarding this pilot will follow in the upcoming weeks.

New Integration Guidelines
