CCRM has been developed as a non-binding information tool to communicate the status of a container towards container terminal operators. The information is provided on container level by the Belgian Customs.
The NxtPort CCRM API provides the most accurate Customs Status of a container. The service allows to receive automatic updates when a container is allowed to be removed from temporary storage. NxtPort provides different statuses which can be interpreted as traffic lights.
Get the most accurate customs status
Avoid fines for unlawful removal from the terminal
Better feedback about type of inspection on container level
CCRM messages can be pushed to the relevant terminal, helping them to decide when a container can be removed out of temporary storage. NxtPort provides different statuses which can be interpreted as traffic lights.
The CCRM API will also be available for requests with GET method for other non terminal involved parties to the shipment. Development of this feature is scheduled in the first half of 2020.

CCRM has been developed as an informative tool to communicate the status of a container to the container terminal operator. The information is provided on container level by Customs.
CCRM is originally defined as the the declaration of temporary storage. Therefore, the API currently is limited to containers that are delivered via sea-going vessels at a container terminal in the (sea) port.
The information is provided by the Belgian Customs to indicate when an import container is allowed to move further after being discharged from a ship. In this way, the AAD&A responds to complaints from terminal operators who, as temporary storage license holders, are responsible for the goods in temporary storage and ensure that no goods are withdrawn from customs supervision during storage.
Even though the CCRM API allows real-time updates on customs release, the system is not mandatory. Terminal operators are free to obtain the information in different ways.
This API is an access-controlled API. This means that your application needs to accommodate an OAuth2 authentication flow between the application user and the NxtPort platform.
The application user logs in to the NxtPort identity component, and your application requests access to the API on behalf of the application user. The NxtPort platform then returns an access token to your application, which can be used to call the API.
To be able to request an access token, your application needs to be registered in the NxtPort platform. Registering an application is currently a manual process, so please contact NxtPort for this. Go to our support desk where you will find all required information on how to get started.
